Ocean County is a gorgeous county located along the Jersey Shore. Its county seat is Toms River, which, like the county itself, has been a very fast growing area since the 90s. Ocean County is part of the New York metropolitan area and is home to many tourist attractions frequently visited by Delaware Valley residents, especially the beachfront communities of Seaside Heights, Long Beach Island, Point Pleasant Beach, as well as the popular attraction of Six Flags Great Adventure, which is home to some of the best rollercoasters and games in the States. Because of its location, Ocean County is connected by major roads and highways, such as Route 13, Route 35, Route 37, Route 70, Route 72, and Route 166. Other major roads that pass through the county include, US Route 9, the Garden State Parkway, and Interstate 195. NJ Transit’s North Jersey Coast Line railway line, which serves Pen Station New York, passes through the county. Southern Ocean County is very close to the Atlantic City Line, which provides services to and from Philadelphia.
