How to Increase Traffic When Your New Jersey Home Is on the Market
If your house is on the market and you’re not getting any activity, what can you do to draw more buyers to your home?
The first thing you should do is make sure you have high-quality photos of the property and that there are a lot of pictures for buyers to look at. A picture is worth a thousand words, and a lot of buyers today are starting their home searches online.
You want to have a good internet presence and your home should look appealing so buyers want to come visit it in person. If you don’t have a lot of photos online or your photos weren’t taken by a professional, I definitely recommend getting those cleaned up and reposted.
You should also make sure that your home is on the proper portals and channels that buyers are looking at. When you hire an experienced Realtor, you can lean on them for that advertising and exposure. They will get the property out there to the masses so buyers come and look at your home.
If you’re still not getting traffic, you may want to check out what is going on in your neighborhood and how you’re priced. Is your home at a fair value in today’s market? If your Piscataway home has a listing price of $400,000 and the other homes in your neighborhood are at $350,000, that could be one reason why you’re not seeing a lot of traffic on your home.
A normal home we put up for sale should have two to four showings a week and, after 10 or 15 showings, we should be seeing some offers. If you’re not seeing those metrics, there are certainly a few things that can be tweaked to get you on your way.
