What to Look for When Buying a NJ Home
Start with the neighborhood and the curb appeal. When you pull up, you should know right away if it's a neighborhood that you could see yourself living in. When you walk up to the house, how does it show? Does it have a nice presence on the block? Is it surrounded by homes that are similar sizes and in similar shape? Once you go through the home, you want to make sure it works for your needs.
Focus on the bedroom count and the bathroom count, as well as the size of the living space and the height of the ceilings. Don't focus too much on the cosmetics like paint colors and floor colors, because you can change those things. You want to find a home that has good bones, that you'll be able to live in for a long time. It should fit your needs and be suitable for you to grow into.
