A self-sustaining operation, the Rutgers Gardens is a beautiful place to visit. The gardens are open 365 days a year and there is no charge for visitors to enjoy the beauty. The facility relies on donations, membership dues, special events and facility rentals to ensure they remain self-sustaining.
At the gardens, you will have the opportunity to discover many different collections including:
- Tribute Gardens - A series of outdoor rooms perfect for enjoying a little time with loved ones.
- Holly Collection - A full collection of beautiful and mature hollies to enjoy.
- Rain Garden - An attractive and environmentally sensitive area helping to reduce storm water runoff.
- Bamboo Forest
- Community Youth Garden
- Ornamental Tree Collection
- Shrub Collection

If you want to see the collections in the best possible way, you can set up a tour. There are many tours available for adults and children. Adult tours are $10 per person during the week and $12 per person on weekends. Seniors receive a $2 discount. Tours for children and school groups are only available from Monday to Friday and the cost is $5 per person.
Along with the regular tours and visitation, the Rutgers Gardens host many special events throughout the year including:

Hours and Information
The gardens are open from 8:30am until dusk year round. You can visit for no cost and enjoy whatever is in bloom for that time of the year.
