The most used recreational facility is the Mountainside Community Pool, which has facilities including an Olympic swimming pool, waterslides, and grassy areas for sunbathing and picnicking. Mountainside students go to a nearby high school located in the Berkeley Heights community, to which the borough pays the tuition. There are currently 220 students attending the school.
